I am writing to advise you that the Experience Requirements Committee (ERC) would like to schedule an interview with you.
The purpose of the interview is to review your experience with you in person. The interview panel will then assess whether to recommend waiving the Confirmatory Examination Program. If you can demonstrate to the interview panel that you have applied engineering principles at the level required for professional engineering licensing, it may recommend to the Academic Requirements Committee (ARC) that the exams are not required.
Following this letter, you will be contacted by telephone to arrange an interview date and time. Please ensure that we have your current business and residence telephone numbers on file. Every attempt will be made to schedule your interview within the next four months. However, please begin your preparation for the interview now as you may be called sooner. In any case, you may have only a week's notice of the interview.
Please note that under the following circumstances you will forfeit the opportunity to be interviewed, and you will be required to complete your examination program:
• You fail to accept an appointment within 3 months from when we first offer you an interview
• You cancel or fail to appear for your scheduled appointment (other than for medical and/or business
reasons)
Please note that cancellation for medical reasons must be supported by a signed letter from your doctor. Also, cancellation for business reasons must be explained in writing by your employer.
I have enclosed detailed information to help you prepare for the interview. During the interview, the ERC will often refer to your experience record. If there are any significant changes to your experience since you first applied for licensure, you are asked to submit a complete and up-to-date experience record. If you have any questions in this regard, please do not hesitate to call me.
When you arrive at PEO's office on the day of your interview, you will be required to present photo identification prior to the interview. Any one of the following ********s will be acceptable:
• Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident Card
• Canadian Passport
• Ontario Driver's Licence
