Internship At Monarch TractorMonarch Tractor is looking for exceptional and motivated students to work with our Controls Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that will validate and improve autonomous driving. There are several opportunities between various teams within Simulation, Controls and Electrical Engineering. Candidates will be matched with the team that is the best fit for their skill set and interests.What To ExpectThis position is expected to start in-person around June 2024 and end August/September 2024. We ask for a minimum commitment of 12 weeks, full-time for most internships. Please consider your obligations before applying. Interns at Monarch Tractor may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Monarch Tractor.International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult with your school before applying.Pay: The hourly pay for this role is between $20.00 - $35.00. Your pay is determined by your skills, qualifications and experience.Location: Livermore, CaliforniaResponsibilities Include Knowledge of embedded development in robotics, real-time controls, or system software.Proficiency of C++, Real time operating systems (RTOS) and/or Matlab Simulink CoderWorked with CAN bus (e.g. J1939) and CAN bus diagnostics tools (e.g. Vector CANalyzer)Test driven development and familiarity with developer driven automated testing.Understanding of telematics, diagnostics, and calibration protocols (e.g. XCP) Qualifications/Experience Currently working toward a B.S, M.S, PH.D or advanced degree in a relevant engineering program and within 1 year of graduation.For undergraduates, we are only accepting Juniors or Seniors.GPA of 3.5 of higherAble to commit to a minimum of 12-week internshipAbility to relocate to the Bay Area, CaliforniaSome prior experience with automotive, robotics or agricultural/heavy vehicle industry exposure as a plusControls software and algorithm development.
