You will support the HR Leader, the HR leadership team and the wider HR function in this pivotal role by providing key data insights to inform people decisions, that will ultimately drive business outcomes.Essential Responsibilities: By first obtaining a deep understanding of our workforce data, you will be responsible for extracting accurate data, providing reporting support, creating robust metrics, maintaining dashboards and generating relevant insights through statistical analyses. You will work with stakeholders senior and other both in and outside of the HR function, and act as our HR data expert for all of Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:


- Providing data and reporting support to HR and other stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Communications, etc.)

- Creating metrics based on set criteria and maintaining dashboards

- Drawing insights from diverse datasets and distilling into simple messages

- Presenting complex information in a user friendly format

- Developing close working relationships with business leaders and senior executives both in and outside of HR

- Undertaking assigned projects as determined by the HR Leader and the HR leadership team

- Handling highly confidential and sensitive information with utmost care and due regard

- Supporting key people projects/initiatives within GE Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea

- Applying a professional approach, sound judgment and creative problem-solving skills to influence through data and analyticsQualifications/Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Analyst in the field of HR / Psychology / Business Analytics / Data Analytics

- Holder of an undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g. HR, Psychology, Commerce, Economics, Business)

- Highly advanced proficiency at Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

- Extremely well organised with strong attention to detail

- Ability to manage multiple tasks in an environment of changing priorities

- Ability to work independently

- Ability to form strong working relationships with different stakeholders

- Strong desire to continuously learn and grow

- Strong drive to seek solutions to problems with minimal guidance

- Passionate about applying data science to people decisionsAdditional Eligibility Qualifications: Desired Characteristics:
- Experience with a wide range of people data (e.g. demographic, survey, performance, compensation/remuneration etc.)
