Our client, a successful capital equipment dealer, is searching for a Service Business Manager in Swan River, Manitoba.The Service Business Manager will oversee service operations within the dealership, ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction, coordinate and direct the workflow of the Service Department, grow profitable service labour sales, support development of technician skills, and attract, retain, and effectively engage department personnel. RESPONSIBILITIES:Business Development and SalesCommunicate and monitor effective Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfactionBuild customer relations internal and external fostering growthMove the business forward by adapting to and promoting new technologies both internal and externalExecute the Corporate Service Marketing Plan with aim to grow salesCoordinate customer clinics, field days, and related promotional events Team Leadership and People ManagementCreate vision and excitement that motivates and inspires team members in their individual and collective pursuit of excellence Manage staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this positionMay assist with the development and training of service personnelComplete annual performance reviews of service staffSupported by other departments, manage recruiting efforts for the department, building a high function team to achieve set goals and future growth FinancialCreate and maintain a yearly departmental budget backed with a business plan to ensure a profitable Service Department with forward growthMonitor service sales/gross margin/net profit monthly to ensure achievement of budgeted sales and profit goals, adjusts business plan as needed to meet goalsManage inventory hours and costsReport on department financials on a quarterly basis to senior management with accountability of achieving budgeted goals Organization / Department / Team SupportEnsure all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working orderBuild and maintain constructive co-worker relations, and effective and productive team dynamicsManage service workflow and processing to ensure maximized productivity and efficiencies in all areasReview large, complex, or exceptional work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billing to ensure customer satisfactionPersonal DevelopmentMaintain current product knowledge, technical and behavioural skillsWork to expand business management skills DESIRED PROFILE:Minimum 5 years experience in Service/Parts/Sales Department operationsFamiliar with John Deere and competitive productsProven management skillsKnowledge of the Agriculture Industry with a general mechanical awarenessInterested in this Opportunity?
