This is a hands-on role for an energetic wind turbine technician with proven supervisory and planning skills. With support from the National EHS Wind Leader, the Field Engineer will be required to manage environmental health and safety at the site.Essential Responsibilities: Day-to-day tasks will include:

- Carry out regular safety inspections of the site.

- Conduct regular safety meetings.

- Ensure regulatory and company compliance at the site.

- Carry out site inductions as required.

- Carry out site specific training.

- Preparation of work programs for the timely servicing of assets.

- Organise daily work plans for contractors.

- Raise purchase requests for parts, consumables etc. as required.

- Interpret the requirements of GE manuals, specifications, bulletins, work instructions, etc. and devise work plans including all required resources.

- Guide and assist technicians in the proper maintenance and fault finding of assets.

- Regularly inspect in-person the progress and quality of service/repair work.

- Maintain reports using GE’s various software management tools and databases.

- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the organisation’s JSA, LOTO, EHS and associated policies/procedures.

- Report errors, violations, incidents or problems immediately using GE reporting systems.

- Submit enquiries to Engineering to ensure technical issues are resolved.

- Answer questions from management, Engineering, Sourcing, Projects etc. as required.

- Make a conformance or non-conformance decision upon completion of inspections.Qualifications/Requirements:
- Wind Turbine service/engineering experience

- Experience managing and leading teams

- A background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

- Proficient in fault finding electrical equipment

- Significant experience in industrial services

- An ability to complete physically demanding tasks at heights

- High level computer skills

- Hold the relevant occupational health and safety qualifications

- Hold the appropriate entitlement to work in Australia at date of application (Permanent Resident of Australia or an Australian Citizen or a New Zealand Citizen)Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Desired Characteristics:
