You will lead our global group of technical Pre Sales Solution Consultants, collaborating with internal product and engineering teams, and commercial sales teams in the Digital Mine business unit to help drive sales of our product & service offerings to the mining industry.Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Digital Mine Global Pre Sales Solution Consultant Leader, you will:
Model, mentor, and coach to demonstrate Solution Architecture best practices in Outcome Selling for GE Digital Pre Sales Solution Consultants/Architects (SA).
Be part of a sales team that meets and exceeds quarterly and annual sales goals
Manage allocation of Solution Architects (SAs) across the globe to support sales activities.
Lead the SAs team on promoting GE Digital Mine portfolio for Asset Performance Management, Process Optimization and Safety, including software, services and Hardware solutions.
Establish a baseline of technical capabilities for our SA’s, across the GE Digital Mine portfolio to include helping structure a GE Pre Sales Solution Architect Certification Plan
Manage the process that ensures team members meet the standard and get “certified”
Be the expert on Asset Performance Management, Process Optimization and Safety Concepts, to articulate a vision based on customer needs and outcomes.
Work with Digital Mine Product Managers, marketing, sales, services and support teams to architect and consult on solutions in a global territory. Offer technical advice to support local region with consultative selling
Lead and Review Pre-Feasibility and Value Assessment studies based on information collected in the field, including interface with customer technical engineering teams
Present solutions at customer meetings to support Account Managers and other Solution Architects.
Actively contribute to the multi-generational product plan managed by the Product Manager to drive competitive and technological differentiation for GE Digital Mine's products & services
Establish a deep understanding of our customers business and technical needs
Create a “trusted technical advisor” relationship with our customer’s technologists and internal technical teammates
Develop frameworks to support solution selling on an enterprise level. Help identify opportunities, problems and solutions across the Mining flow sheet
Lead change across large platforms / functional areas using technology solutions
Promote Industrial Internet Analytics and Big Data solutions.
Implement a consistent Opportunity review process which will empower Pre Sales Solution Architects to engage and provide insight into the sales team and leadership
Contribute to Pre Sales Solution Architect recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
Ability to drive key customer facing meetings and events, particularly C level discussions
Directly engage with Regional Leader, Channel Partners and customers in top strategic deals, sales meetings, and thought leadership opportunities (e.g. Sales Roadshows and Industry Events).
Raising the business level acumen of the SA organization by being a trusted advisor to the account manager and customer to validate business value.
Sales Calendar Milestone Coordination
Product Development Strategy guidance by documenting and sharing customer requirements to product management to guarantee the visibility to support market demandsQualifications/Requirements:
Minimum 10 years’ experience leading sales or pre-sales teams
Proven experience and technical sales knowledge as a Solutions Consultant/Architect with experience mentoring to define and propose solutions to clients.
Deep technical Industrial Automation Experience
Strong and proven leadership and interpersonal skills
At least intermediate project management skills for tracking the projects driven by the Pre Sales Solution Architect team for timely deliverable and resource requirements
Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Deep practical Mining industry knowledge, across the Mining flow sheet and equipment. Knowledge of the processes and equipment used in Mining, Minerals & ****ls
Strong software and/or optimization background, including analytics background and practical experience in one or more of the following: process monitoring and automation, PID Control Loop performance monitoring and tuning, asset monitoring, Process Optimization, Advanced Process Control, Model Predictive Control, process modeling, data mining, mining equipment, electrical equipment, industrial instrumentation, condition based monitoring.
Strong written and verbal skills
Knowledge of customer needs in the Mining space
Excellent Client Facing and Presentation SkillsAdditional Eligibility Qualifications: Desired Characteristics:
Advanced knowledge in advanced monitoring and statistics
Knowledge of or experience in plant processes and how these are represented by data streams in the Mining industry
2+ years’ experience in information systems (historians)
Industry experience with engineering and control problems
Industrial experience with implementing on-line systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese
