The Surgery Applications specialist is engaged with new and existing accounts to establish credibility and drive clinical strategy. They provide thought leadership on product optimisation and product market positioning.Essential Responsibilities: The Applications Specialist is responsible for the clinical evaluation of new software, options, systems before release. He/she is responsible for dissemination of information on Clinical trends, new procedures and new products or options. This person will resolve the product vs. Application issues and makes the selection of clinical images for the sales library and congresses. He or she will work with the Product Manager and the local Organisation to identify key reference sites for new product introductions. He or she ensures that all new products are clinically relevant and all clinical needs are translated into technical and performance specifications. The Surgery Applications Specialist takes active part in the organisation of user meetings / Medical Advisory board in collaboration with the Product Managers and the Sales Specialist. He or she also supports Customer visits at reference site as required.


    - Provide technical and clinical leadership during sales process by demonstrating full range of product features including potential uses, product capabilities and benefits to customers as needed.

    - Develop, coordinate and deliver product training to customers on software, application and equipment use, monitor customer installations within assigned region to improve customer satisfaction and maintain customer relationships.

    - Improve customer satisfaction and install base retention through continuing education on optimization of equipment utilization by customer.

    - Build strong relationship with Luminaries in order to develop programs

    - Produce well-written post-training reports and provide regular feedback on customer satisfaction and needs. If also taking on team leadership role responsibilities also include:

    - Facilitate team communication and the sharing of best practices.

    - Act as a mentor to field team, providing clinical, technical and professional guidance as necessary to improve the customer experience.

    - Communicate with Sales teams to align applications activities with sales needs and business objectives.

    Quality Specific Goals:


    - Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

    - Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

    - Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

    - Knowledge and understanding of all Global Privacy and Anti-Competition Policies (including but not limited to GE Healthcare HIPPA Guidelines, NEMA Regulations, etc.) and operates within them to ensure that no company policy or US / Int’l Law is broken.

    - Knowledge and understanding of all Environmental Health Policies (including but not limited to GE Healthcare EHS Policies, GE Healthcare Fleet Rules, etc.) and operate within them to ensure that no company policy or US / Int’l Law is broken

    - Drive continuous improvement on all related processes, work instructions, and procedures to ensure ongoing standardization and simplification of the Quality Management System.Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred in related business or technical/clinical field
    3 to 7 years Clinical experience
    Experience using GE medical imaging equipment
    It is critical for the Applications Specialist to have at least 2 years in delivering applications support to customers.
    This role requires travel across all regions in Australia and New Zealand, although primarily in Australia. This is technical role that requires a great deal of attention to detail
    Microsoft office skills – outlook, PowerPoint, excel – all require intermediate experienceAdditional Eligibility Qualifications: Desired Characteristics:

    - High level of interpersonal skills
    - Proven professional business acumen (experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process).
