The Role*
A JCAL NDIS Operations Manager will mentor staff in their professional development, be flexible in service delivery, market to and network with relevant stakeholders, collaborate with coordinators and staff across all sites, manage challenging behaviours, work with local employers to identify and establish work experience and employment opportunities, promote inclusiveness within the program.
The role is diverse and exciting, calling upon your outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to identify and meet the needs of participants.
You will
Ensure Service Delivery Excellence:
- Develop, monitor and manage strategies, including innovations, to improve outcomes for NDIS participants with employment, independence and social goals.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, and other supports to develop personally tailored supports to meet the needs and goals of participants, and continuously seek feedback to improve service
Demonstrate Leadership:
- Support high performance of staff through mentoring and coaching for skill development
- Allocate and monitor work activities, ensuring adherence to JCAL contractual, quality and compliance requirements
Develop and Maintain Partnerships for Business Growth:
- Attend and organize networking events to develop relationships with key referral partners
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including proactively identifying, pursuing and building a portfolio of high value employer and industry relationships to support participants with opportunities for work placement
Manage Site Operations
- Monitor overall operations of the region to ensure financial viability, including rostering of staff and managing and contributing to the development of site budgets
Essential
- A passion for enhancing the lives of people with a disability and a genuine interest in delivering innovative, engaging supports with a focus on youth independence
- Demonstrated experience in people management and leadership, including strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in managing a site, including a good understanding of rostering and budgets and adhering to compliance requirements
- An outgoing, approachable, enthusiastic personality that inspires and motivates staff along with the ability to work in an ever changing environment.
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships with customers, staff and external stakeholders
- Relevant qualifications in Community Services, employment or education and have either direct experience in the Employment Services Industry or transferable skills and knowledge from a like industry.
- A current driver’s licence, police check, working with children check, and eligibility to work in Australia
Highly Desirable
- A good understanding of the NDIS with a minimum 12months experience in service management
