The Role : NDIS Coordinator
A JCAL NDIS Coordinator will mentor staff in their professional development, be flexible in service delivery, market to and network with relevant stakeholders, collaborate with coordinators and staff across all sites, manage challenging behaviours, work with local employers to identify and establish work experience and employment opportunities, promote inclusiveness within the program.
The role is diverse and exciting, calling upon your outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to identify and meet the needs of participants. This is a role you can build and own, making a real, positive and tangible difference to the lives of JCAL participants on a daily basis.
This is a part time role working 30 hours / 4 days week.
You have
A passion for enhancing the lives of people with a disability and a genuine interest in supporting staff to create engaging programs with a focus on youth independence. To ensure success you have (or are working towards) relevant qualifications in Community Services, employment or education and have either direct experience in the Employment Services Industry or transferable skills and knowledge from a like industry.
You will have a good understanding of the NDIS with a minimum 12months experience in service management.
You’re energetic and result oriented with a good understanding of rosters and budgets, excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, an outgoing, approachable enthusiastic personality that inspires and motivates staff along with the ability to work in an ever-changing environment.
Your ability to build rapport and maintain effective relationships with participants, staff and other stakeholders is one of your key strengths.
In addition, it’s essential that you’re eligible to work in Australia and possess a current driver’s license, current police check and Working with Children certification.
