Our intent is to invest in growth and invest to build on the businesses current strengths.Posted Position Title: Product Development Manager – Motor/Aussie/3rd PartyCareer Level: ExperiencedFunction: MarketingFunction Segment: Commercial ExcellenceLocation: AustraliaU.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: City: RichmondPostal Code: 3121Relocation Assistance: NoRole Summary/Purpose: To define and create the product strategy for the development of compelling motor and third party product propositions (Aussie, other 3rd party distributed product), including market sizing, market segmentation, product design and all aspects of go to market decision making (including framing the acquisition strategy, distribution strategy and the overall customer experience).Essential Responsibilities:
- Define product strategy for motor and third party distributed products (including Aussie) and ensure that these strategies are aligned and consistent with the broader Consumer and organization business strategies

- Develop compelling Customer Value Propositions (CVPs) for Motor and 3rd Party products that enable us to win in chosen customer and market segments which are based on external and internal insights (e.g. customer research; competitor evaluation, benchmarking, etc.)

- Develop robust business/investment cases including detailed cost/benefit analyses, market sizing and segmentation analysis and ensure that all key outcome metrics meet acceptable hurdle levels to the organization (e.g. ROI, Payback period, ROE, etc.)

- Assess required strategic and operational capabilities for success and if gaps exist define and develop the appropriate capabilities, working with the relevant internal or external stakeholders as required

- Ensure that all new product initiatives and product enhancements comply with all relevant approvals (e.g. senior executive, legal, compliance, assurance) and that all go to market processes (including detailed stakeholder engagement) are followed at all times

- Measure and monitor product performance (e.g. financial drivers and outcomes, customer experience) to ensure the product(s) meet investment case and business as usual plans and identify and implement any corrective or preventative action required (e.g. pricing changes; feature changes; process changes, etc.)

- Be the subject matter expert (SME) for these products and segments – continually seek to broaden, deepen and enhance your knowledge about customer, technology, social and other trends and champion and share your knowledge about your products and customers throughout the business.

- Perform regular periodic product reviews and identify opportunities for product improvement, simplification and product rationalization.Qualifications/Requirements: Essential


- Tertiary qualified in a Business or related discipline

- Prior product development or product management experience, ideally gained in financial services (5-10 years)

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills; highly numerate (knows the numbers)

- Strategy development – prior development and execution of product strategy

- Proven influencing and stakeholder management experience in a complex financial or commercial organization (can get things done with and through others)

- Excellent communication skills – can articulate complex business issues and arguments simply and concisely to get appropriate support and agreement

Desired
* Prior experience managing lending products (personal loans, motor loans, credit cards)

- Prior experience in a direct to consumer business model in financial services (i.e. distributed primarily via digital or over the phone)
