This position will lead a team of Logistics professionals establish goals and key performance indicators KPIs while motivating the team to deliver safe and best in class service.Key Responsibilities Oversee logistics for all of The Andersons business unitsMaintain competitive rail rates for all Andersons? locationsWork directly with railroads to ensure assets are provided with the highest level of serviceResponsible for technology and third-party services and process improvements for the space including TMS solution Track and Trace Forecasting and network modelingDevelop and foster relationships with key railroad and railcar owner personnelProvide vision and direction to the transportation team to exceed goals objectives and KPIsResponsible for the leasing of 4500+ railcars including contract and rate negotiations developing policies procedures and rules for railcar maintenanceSupport business groups with all rail related needsWhat is expected of you and others at this levelProvides leadership and direction through Senior Managers and ManagersIs typically accountable for the performance and results of:A large strategically important discipline in an extremely large market; orRelated disciplines or a medium-sized function in a large market or medium-sized market; orA medium-sized discipline or department in a major regionAdapts and executes functional or departmental business plans and contributes to the development of functional or departmental strategiesDecisions are guided by functional strategies and prioritiesMinimum Qualifications & SkillsBachelor?s Degree required Master?s Degree preferred7-10 years? relevant experience requiredThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
