Account responsibilities include the efficient use of account management and FSR resources critical to meeting objectives.

    Account Managers are expected to continuously raise the standard by challenging and demonstrating the achievement of objectives over and above basic expectations.

    Essential Responsibilities: Safety and compliances:

    • Ensure compliance, both individual and team, with all regulatory, Customer and GE EH&S and Integrity policies
    • Challenge and influence others on EHS & Compliance standards
    • Contribute to culture of continuous improvement, open communication and learning
    • Ensure all customer documentation is captured & maintained in appropriate databases
    Sales of water processing solutions and products to expand the current market:
    • Understand the current market & competitive landscape
    • Develop sales business plan based on market analysis
    • Communicate to Area Manager on competitive position - customer accounts; industry segments, products & technologies in the market
    • Identify new customers/applications & drive sales growth
    • Lead sales campaigns from prospecting to close
    • Drive NPI penetration in existing and prospect account base
    • Ensure appropriate use of prospecting sales tools including bluesheets and veritas
    • Forecasting of existing and prospect accounts, with particular emphasis on veritas as the process tool
    Manage assigned customer accounts - achieve increased sales, increased area gross profit, portfolio growth and decreased field servicing costs. Drives growth by creating and selling customer value propositions for assigned account base:
    • Ensure all customer accounts are serviced at the frequency required
    • Ensure Service Adjusted Margin is acceptable
    • Ensure FSR personnel are utilized & developed on site
    • Maintain regular communications with assigned customers
    • Participates in collecting, testing & analysing water samples on site
    • Review results in order to provide recommendations to meet customer CTQs
    • Ensure compliance to all regulatory, customer & GE EH&S standards
    • Maintain all chemical inventories
    Provide quality technical service to assigned customer accounts:
    • Knowledge resource for customers and GE personnel
    • Promote GE technology, including NPIs, to solve identified water treatment needs
    • Ensure quality technical service is provided to customers on a regular basis & hat only technically correct recommendations are made to a customer
    • Develop strategy and lead the roll out of new products &/or applications within existing customer base
    Qualifications/Requirements:
    • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related Chemical Science field or suitable professional or trade background associated with the water treatment industrâ?¢ Water industry experience.
    • Previous account management experience in the water treatment industry.
    • Tenacity and commitment to achieving sales targets.
    • Results Oriented.
    • Ability to build long term strong business relationships.
    • Strong communication skills â?? both verbal and written.
    • Ability to balance the sales and service elements of position
    • Strong account management skills.
    • Demonstrated commitment to EH&S and compliance.
    Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Desired Characteristics:
    • Additional sales experience is preferred
    • Knowledge of industrial applications for product lines, including the assigned products and their markets
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
    • Integrative team working style
    • Employees to conduct themselves in accordance with GE Growth values at all times
