The Role
- Engagement and initial assessment of job seekers
- Community engagement
- Collaborate with stakeholders for results
- 12 month fulltime Maternity Relief
Preparing jobseekers for work
- To identify key interventions, strategies, vocational and non-vocational jobseekers needs
- Identification of job ready jobseekers and working with them to achieve employment goals
- To facilitate meaningful engagement for jobseekers that is activity based and job focused
Placing jobseekers into employment
- Sourcing of vacancies in order to provide individual jobseekers sustainable employment
- Reverse market jobseekers to employers using systems, guidelines and incentives provided
Supporting jobseekers in employment
- Provide solutions focused mentoring and guidance to jobseekers and employers.
You have
- Vocational qualification in relevant field or working towards or
- Previous experience in similar role DES preferred or minimum 12 months experience in a relevant field or relevant transferable skills from a different industry
- A demonstrated commitment to working with people with injury, ill health or disability
- Ability to facilitate small groups of job seekers
- Ability to conduct interviews and assess job seekers
- Ability to identify interventions and to develop vocational /non vocational plans
- Ability to attract referrals and direct registrations
- Strong knowledge of contracts and compliance
- Proven ability to achieve results and exceed targets
- Proven time management and organisational skills
- Solutions focused
- Resilience and positive outlook
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal skills*and effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to build rapport and maintain effective relationships with job seekers, employers and other key stakeholders
- High level of computer literacy (word, excel, outlook)
- An understanding of NDIS
Essential
- Eligible to work in Australia
- Current driver’s license
- Criminal History check
- Working with Children check
