St John has an opportunity for a skilled Senior Administrator with this full-time role. Based in the new Justice and Emergency Services Precinct, you'll be joining the South Island Regional Headquarters of New Zealand's most trusted charity.
This is a busy role so we are looking for an experienced administration superstar! You will enjoy working independently at a fast pace and juggling conflicting priorities. You will be motivated and a confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships. A proven track record in maintaining high levels of accuracy and service excellence is a top priority.
This role has a wide variety of outcomes expected and will include:
- Effective administrative work including the monitoring and management of incoming correspondence (including email)
- Ensure meetings and presentations are organised as required and reported on efficiently by recording minutes /action points, and distributing to associated parties
- Build and maintain proactive and constructive relationships with all members, senior managers, customers and other stakeholders through effective communication and support
- Provide a high level of customer service to both our internal and external customers by responding to emails and phone calls promptly and courteously
- Liaise with the relevant staff to ensure appropriate administration support is provided to the District Operations Manager in preparation for various meetings
- To work collaboratively across the South Island Operations and Management team to ensure consistency of administration processes, coordination of travel requests
- Undertake drafting and compilation of reports, correspondence and communications in a timely manner as required
- Contribute to a safe and healthy workplace through consistent support for health, safety and wellness activities
