CONTEXTAntwerp and Ostend-Bruges airports are each operated by a Belgian company which has been awarded a 25-year concession by the Flemish government, expiring in October 2039.These concessions, the terms of which are identical for each airport, entrust the 2 companies with the task of operating, maintaining, promoting and developing the airport concerned, in compliance with the safety and security regulations in force, which lead to the obtaining of certificates that are essential for the operation of the sites.The two airports are very different and have their own business models, with Antwerp (260 000 passengers / €11M Revenues / €676K Ebitda) focusing on business aviation and scheduled passenger flights, while Ostend (387*000 passengers / 32KT Freight / €17,5M Revenues / €786K Ebitda) focuses more on cargo flights and scheduled leisure and low-cost passenger flights.MAIN ACTIVITIES AND MISSIONReports to the Regional Business Line Director for Europe.The CEO is responsible for managing the two companies in charge of operating Antwerp and Ostend-Bruges airports. In this capacity, he is supported by a Management Committee currently comprising 6 (six) directors: a HR Director, a CFO, 2 Business Unit Managers (1 per airport), a Passengers & Real Estate Sales Director and a Cargo Sales Director. He is also the Accountable Manager of both airports, which involves guaranteeing airside safety compliance and maintaining each airport's certificate.The position’s holder can’t be successful without complying with the relevant procedures, directives, and other legal requirements of the Quality Management System, fulfilling the accountabilities of this position in accordance with corporate policies, Egis’s core values, Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics Standards.The main responsibilities are:?** Monitoring, updating and adapting the short-, medium- and long-term strategic orientation plan on an annual basis, in consultation with the Group's directors; ?** Implementing the strategy through an appropriate management system and securing the support of all staff and interested parties; ?** Guarantee continuity of operations within the required safety, security and quality standards; ?** Optimise the economic performance of the two airports by ensuring that costs and revenues are in line with each other; ?** Guaranteeing the compliance with applicable regulations on safety (airside, land side and work positions), security and labour laws, and efficiency of the overall management of resources (human, financial, technical); ?** Ensuring that investment projects approved by shareholders are carried out under optimum conditions in terms of costs, deadlines and quality; ?** Negotiating commercial agreements with airlines and airport handling companies; ?** Develop aero and extra aero revenues by pursuing an aggressive business development policy and negotiating with airlines with a view to opening new routes;
?** Proven experience as Head of Operations, Operations Director, or similar leadership role,?** Familiarity with all business functions including HR, finance, supply chain and tolling,?** Knowledge of data analytics and reporting,?** Good with numbers and financial planning,?** Outstanding communication and negotiation skills,?** Excellent organizational and leadership ability,?** Analytical mind,?** Problem-solving aptitude.
