أنا : Mr. Job POSITION SUMMARY: The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for administrative and field operations, and the financial success of Capay Farms. Responsibilities include successful day-to-day management of the field operations, expense and capital management, financial budgeting, strategic planning, driving a high performing culture, continued growth, and increased profitability. This position will plan, direct, and coordinate operational activities at a tactical level with the assistance of the senior management team. The Chief Executive Officer will maintain company compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements with respect to company policies, employee health, safety, and employment. The Chief Executive Officer will maintain maximum strategic agility and apply appropriate solutions considering the cyclical and unpredictable nature of a dynamic agricultural environment. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports directly to the President with a dotted line relationship to the Vice President. Direct reports include a General Manager, Field Managers, Controller, Special Projects/Huller Manager, Human Resources Manager and Safety Manager; overall responsibility for 120 field employees and an office/management staff of approximately 20 employees. EDUCATION & SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 10 years general management experience in agriculture.Minimum of 3 years of executive experience.Experience working in orchards preferred; almond and walnut experience a huge plus.Working knowledge of agricultural management systems.An undergraduate BA/BS degree required; in agribusiness or related field is preferred; a master’s degree preferred.Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.Computer literacy required (Word, Excel, and Outlook).Bilingual Spanish is desirable. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for management of orchard operations, administrative functions, financial controls, and the cultural practices of the organization.Evaluate annual growing plans to ensure supply objectives and sales forecasts are met.Oversee sustainable and continuous redevelopment plans of acreage considering key factors including crop, age, yield, and market conditions.Review and modify KPIs systematically in cultural, financial, budgetary, safety, and other strategic areas.Support and drive the Safety Always culture communicating genuine care for team members.Stay abreast of the latest in orchard growing technology, pest control, etc. and adopt as appropriate; encourage innovation in the growing programs and overall ranch management to maximize quality.Conduct scheduled business reviews with handlers (wholesalers). Increase revenue with existing accounts and pursue new business opportunities.Oversee software systems including the continuous improvement of the in-house Farm Management System.Oversee the procurement function. Direct and coordinate all activities of purchasing and contracting for supplies, materials, equipment, and services. Modify purchasing policies and procedures with the objective to obtain goods at the lowest yielded cost while meeting approved quality and delivery standards. Review and approve large contracts and expenditures.Solicit senior management approval on major capital investment, divestures, and formalized annual budget for approval by the owners.Analyze current financial parameters, profitability, taxes, energy usage and regulatory functions; manage operating costs to achieve annual budget goals. Review monthly and annual financial statements with ownership for budgetary comparisons, gap analysis and action-oriented responses as necessary.Develop, establish, enhance, and execute operating policies consistent with the objectives of the strategic plan. Systematically evaluate the operations, reduce costs wherever possible and report those results on a quarterly basis to the President and Vice President.Support and contribute to a weekly internal email report consisting of relevant topics including progress-to-date regarding operational objectives, financial targets, and crop status and projections.Set the tone and ensure retention of company values by setting an example and reinforcing the values in others.
