Position description :
Job Scope:Responsible for the preparation of Hydrologic Analyses, which iinclude Rainfall Analysis, Runoff Analysis, Flow Capacity Analysis and Inundation AnalysisOvrall responsibility for the hydraulic analysis of flood control and river improvement worksUntake overall responsibility for the hydraulic analysis of flood control and river improvement worksConduct inspection, investigation and/ or assessment of the study area to determine the revailing conditions of the river with emphasis on the hydrologic and hydraulic aspects of the sub-projectsLead he conduct of the flood survery to locate the existing flood control systems, identify the flood-prone areas within the study areaAssist in the conduct of a Hydrographic SurveryAssist the team in identifying the alternative flood migitation measuresPlan and lead the collection of relevant information on historic flood occurrence, flood magnitude, hydrology, climatic and meterorological conditions, etc.*Provide hyrdological / hydraulic inputs including an estimate of runoff discharge to the sub-Project areas and their tributaries for the planning and design of flood control structures, bridges, drainge systems and other related structures.*Responsible for the conduct of water balance and flooding modeling in each project areaAssist in the colection of supplemental information on the existing condition of flood-prone areas, as well as identification of alternative improvement plans and overall implementation of the projectConsolidate and prepare the final hydrologist/hyrdaulic report of the projectsAssist in the conduct of an alternative study for flood mitigation measuresRequirements:Professional Civil Enginner / Water Resources Engineer / Agricultural Engineer or* related field with at least 5 years of experience in hrdrologicial and hydraulic analysis, modeling and designHe/she must be proficient in writing technical report in EnglishGood spoken and written EnglishKnowledge of the local language is prefered
