This role will partner with the Finance Manager DF/CF, Finance Director Commercial and Distribution Finance MD to identify opportunities to assist in driving business growth & an improved portfolio ROI/ROE for DF. You will be a key business partner working directly with the MD & Sales.Essential Responsibilities: Ensure all forecasting & planning submissions in relation to Distribution Finance including income and expenditure (Blueprint planning sessions & Short Range Outlook) are completed to a high degree of accuracy & relevance
Ensure accurate & timely submission of monthly & quarterly reports on the P&L and balance sheet of Distribution finance analysis to plan to assist driving a culture of accountability & performance measurement within the business
Maintain & make visible P&L risks & opportunities around the Distribution finance business on an ongoing basis & propose actions to manage these risks & opportunities.
Assist the Pricing and Product team to develop new opportunities to generate additional income in the DF business
Work with the sales leaders to develop profitable deals and ensure all new facilities for existing clients generate additional income and assets for the business
Review monthly the profitability of the portfolio and work to create actions to address profitability issues
Lead DF finance initiatives across the businesses by facilitating the brainstorming of ideas, establishing a rhythm around the execution of these ideas & the measurement & reporting of progress made
Work though OPEX and ensure SG&A within budget
Ensure completion of ad hoc central or GEIC requests are completed promptly as requiredQualifications/Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in a business/finance related discipline

- Minimum 2-5 years finance experience or *****alent

- Outstanding financial services industry analytical skills and business understanding

- Proven track record of effective leadership and communication skill

- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple functions / locations / cultural difference without solid line reporting structure

- Ability to handle multiple tasks with balance of priority and quality

- CPA / CA qualified or working towards a qualificationAdditional Eligibility Qualifications: Desired Characteristics:
- Strong Financial & Modelling skills
- Problem solving – especially the ability to develop solutions to meet customer needs
- Strong understanding of financial reporting requirements within the GE environment
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills – especially excel & powerpoint
- Strong ability to utilise all finance specific systems/tools including Oracle purchasing, Oracle Financials & Business Objects
- Proven influencing skills
- Excellent & succinct communication skills – both written & oral. Ability to present with confidence to the Leadership team
- Ability to create pivot tables & work with a significant amount of data
- Strong sense of self-awareness
