Through our people, leadership development, services, technology and scale, GE delivers better outcomes for global customers by speaking the language of industry.Posted Position Title: Indirect Sourcing & Logistics LeaderCareer Level: ExperiencedFunction: SourcingFunction Segment: CommodityLocation: AustraliaU.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: City: Sydney (site flexible) preferred, or MelbournePostal Code: 2060Relocation Assistance: NoRole Summary/Purpose: As part of the Global Sourcing Organization, this role will be responsible for all indirect and logistics leadership and facilitation across the GE Industrea business (initially), with a possible path to increased scope across multiple GE businesses in the future.Essential Responsibilities: This role is accountable for up to $45M spend annually and must have the ability to identify, implement & execute deflation programs on time to meet business objectives on cost reduction & the ability to capture that detail effectively to show progress.

The Indirect Sourcing Leader demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will use your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

· Lead the commodity procurement to achieve variable cost productivity, cash flow, and
controllership goals. Lead the supplier selection, qualification, development, and overall supplier
management, including managing the entire contract life cycle from Request for Proposal to
supplier exit
· Balance strategy development with the tactical execution necessary to execute cost reduction
projects through contract negotiation, process changes, and implementation of sustainable cost
controls, including collaboration with Finance to validate the impact of projects and contract
negotiations to the general ledger
· Develop technical and market expertise in commodity area·
· Create and enforce business policies to meet business targets and customer needs, including
improving procurement processes and optimizing Sourcing resources to enhance the customer
experience withSourcing
· Closely monitor supplier performance to plan and work with the suppliers to manage any required
recovery plans / actions
· Coordinate with factories to ensure supply meets any and all demand requirements
· Hold weekly reviews with suppliers
· Conduct Capacity Audits, track any Red Flags that impede supplier performance and control
revisions at Suppliers
· Ensure any quality issues have the appropriate focus
· Develop process to look upstream for pending requirements and drive Engineering /
Manufacturing / Sales in order to ensure sourcing given adequate cycle to procure materialQualifications/Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at
least 4 years of experience in Sourcing, Finance, Manufacturing or Operations) is desirable
· Proven experience in Sourcing, Finance, Manufacturing, or Operations
- Strong experience in indirect sourcing within industrial businesses is highly sought

- Experience in logistics management for a large business both import and export with China
experience being an advantage.

- Strong understanding of Indirect sourcing procedures and domestic and international freight.

- Excellent contract administration and negotiation skills especially around suppliers that provide a
larger sourcing footprint.
- Alignment to GE Transportation requirements around compliance and supplier relationships; further alignment to GE businesses possible in the future.
- Adherence to GE Transportation sourcing policies and procedures; further alignment to GE businesses possible in the future.
