Help us make our Farm Fresh Goodness Great!Responsible for ensuring all Quality Control functions are performed accurately and efficiently according to Seneca Foods specifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing department employees in performing quality functions.Responsibilities:Manage daily job responsibilities of the quality control department to ensure companycompliance with GMPs, SWIs, QMS and BRC standards.Disposition suspect quality defects and mill defects.File claims on supplier defective materials.Review and revise quality control specifications as needed.Document and investigate interplant complaints.Review, interpret, and maintain quality control paperwork, reports, and records to drive process improvements within the facility.Facilitate monthly Quality Control Meetings.Assemble and analyze monthly holdand mill reject data.Ensure that GMPs (General manufacturing Practices), safety rules and regulations are being followed and enforced.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field preferred.2 + years in a supervisory role preferred.Must have good attention to detail and accuracy.Willingness and ability to work and function in a team environment.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.Ability to work with all levels of the organization.Seneca Foods Corporation is committed to providing equal opportunity for all, through a positive and continuing affirmative action program.
