Career Opportunity at Organzo: Business Development Specialist in Horticulture Targeted territory: US Southern StatesAs we expand our operations and reach in the US, we are seeking a skilled Professional Business Developer to support our US growth strategy and foster key partnerships with Southern US Fruits & Vegetables Growers. Role in brief: Identify and qualify new business opportunities with US growers in the Southern StatesSuccessfully negotiate and establish agreements in Organzo’s distinctive business model Main responsibilities and functions:Promote Organzo’s business model and growing opportunities.Enhance our market presence in US Southern StatesIdentify high potential growers who could be a good fit with our business model and crops.Analyze market data, customer feedback, and industry reports to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth.Qualify leads.Plan & conduct meetings and visits to targeted growers.Provide timely and trustworthy feedback & progression reports to Organzo’s executivesActively contribute to the negotiation of contracts, agreements, and terms of partnerships to maximize mutual benefits and achieve strategic and revenue objectives.Be involved in growers’ retention to contribute to our long-term business growthRepresent Organzo at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to promote brand awareness, build industry relationships, and explore new business opportunities. Competencies:Strong selling and business development skills in a Business-to-Business (B2B) context.Strategic approach: based on research and analysis & relationship building.Experience in setting winning conditions and profitable business development processes.Ability to leverage the multidisciplinary assets of the Organzo team (for example: to suggest the appropriate crop)Track record in valuing and forging solid & long-term relationships.Demonstrated communication and negotiation skills. Strengthseveloping and maintaining strong relationships as well as building trust.Pro-active in staying abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and market dynamics to adapt business strategies accordingly.Known for being resourceful, rigorous, self-motivated, perseverant, and results-driven. Experiences:Solid background in B2B revenue generationStrong understanding of agricultural practices, market dynamics, and industry trends.Proven experience in developing leads and expanding market reach.Proven valued network in the produce industry.
