This includes:
- Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the GE Capital A&NZ Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) and its components for the GE Capital A&NZ business.
- Provide support and guidance for the 1st line of defence in the identification, assessment, mitigation, management and reporting of all operational risk issues.
- Provide advice, oversight and challenge to Executive Essential Responsibilities: Development and maintenance of strategy, policies, procedures, tools and practices associated with the GE Capital A&NZ Operational Risk Framework and program components, including:
Drive cultural awareness of Operational Risk Management within GE Capital A&NZ
Understanding of three lines of defence operating models in risk management
Develop processes and reporting to add tangible benefit to the business
Overseeing adherence to the operational risk framework and procedures (provide monitoring and oversight)
Constructively challenge management actions and decisions where they appear to differ with the operational risk framework and procedures
Coordinate and ensure local rollout of GECC and GEC International operational risk requirements and components.
Identify, develop and present specific risk reports on key risk issues impacting GE Capital A&NZ including remediation activities and changes to the risk profile, and provide opinion and insight on operational risk matters to Business Management and Risk Committees.
Provide ongoing communication, training and capability uplift to 1st line operational risk managers, business and enabling functions.
Leadership & development of the Operational Risk team. Ensure the team acts as an effective 2nd Line control function in the monitoring and oversight of operational risk.
Engage with 1st line teams, Compliance and other assurance providers to ensure a co-ordinated assurance plan for GE Capital A&NZ is developed. Qualifications/Requirements: Qualifications
- Tertiary education – commerce, accounting, finance and / or risk
Experience
- Proven operational risk experience gained from leadership within a operational risk management function
- Experience in front line, operations and / or enabling functions
