You will have a strong external focus on market and competitor, and work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to drive profitable market share growth for the Consumer Cards business.Essential Responsibilities: Product strategy

- Ensure long term product development roadmap is in place and revisited on a regular basis

- Ensure there is oversight of other Consumer/Commercial activities for opportunities to strategically align
Product development

- Ongoing review of products, product features and functionality

- Develop plans to implement changes to product features and functionality to drive improved experience and adoption

- Support the identification and execution of portfolio management initiatives in consultation with the Consumer Portfolio Management Leader
New Product development

- Assess NPI opportunities including full business case construction

- Define strategic roadmap for lending products incl. supporting research, linking in with large technology projects to deliver

- Work with Loans Product and Program teams to understand opportunities for expansion into different segments, distribution models and hybrid revolving/closed end products
Competitor & Market analysis

- Monitor Competitor offerings, promotions, and new products and provide insight to impacts and opportunities to Consumer SLT

- Monitor Consumer Finance trends in market and provide insight to impacts and opportunities to Consumer SLT

- Monitor technology changes and work with the Channel & Distribution Leader and Digital teams to understand opportunities and threatsQualifications/Requirements: Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in business/numeric related discipline

- Six Sigma Black belt certified an advantage
Experience

- Deep knowledge of consumer credit card products, and payments (see technical knowledge)

- 10+ years’ experience in financial services preferred
Technical Knowledge

- Ability to support product enhancement and new product development delivery

- Requires a detailed technical understanding of the operation of consumer card products or P&L management (key drivers, factors that affect ability to hit plan

- Requires understanding of the Australian consumer lending market,

- Requires knowledge of risk implications associated with product strategies

- Requires an understanding of consumer lending legislation
