The Product Manager will support Consumer initiatives and work closely with the Product Development and Marketing teams to execute on strategic & tactical imperatives.Essential Responsibilities: Product Operations
Responsible to help ensure optimal product enhancement/design, facilitating maximum profitability, cross business re-use, minimum implementation cost and minimum product servicing cost
Responsible for supporting the delivery of product/channel projects, as a portfolio representative, to agreed timeframes, to allocated budget and to agreed objectives and quality requirements whilst ensuring customer experience remains at the forefront of all decisions.
Responsible for the execution of the Pricing agenda and ensuring that tollgate rigor is applied.
Ensure Compliance rigor is applied in all product activity including appropriate policies, procedural instructions and documentation.
Ensure touch point updates are completed in support of project delivery.
Issue Management
Management of product related issues including investigation & analysis, cross functional coordination, SLT escalation, resource assignment, strategic changes
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of legislation and regulation pertaining to cards & loans products.
Product Enhancement
Assist in delivery of business cases for enhancements and NPI’s
Contribute to the planning process for the product enhancements within the GE planning cycles.
Champion the simplification agenda to streamline the way we work, drive cost out and make us more competitive and fast for our customers
Understand channel performance, identify opportunities for improvement, make recommendations (business case) and support delivery of change
Ensure that internal insights (VOC, VOB, Customer Complaints, and Customer Experience) are captured systematically and make recommendations (business case) on product changes/enhancements.
Ensure relevant stakeholders from Operations are engaged and assist as required in Operational readiness activities as a result of product and process enhancementsQualifications/Requirements: Qualifications
Bachelor’s
Degree in business/information systems/numeric related discipline
Six
sigma qualification preferred
Experience
Deep
knowledge of originations and servicing processes
Understanding
of product value propositions, composition and operation
5+
years’ experience in financial services required
Product
and operational experience required
Technical Knowledge
Excellent
knowledge of GE Operations functions and systems
Ability
to support product enhancement and new product development delivery
